best and worst gigs
what are the best and worst live performances you've ever seen?
my best is a toss up between sonic youth at manchester academy last year belle and sebastian last month in glasgow and idlewild in edinburgh in 99 worst was either papa roach at leeds 2 years ago (stuck in the crowd, not my own choice) or one of the many chicken in a basket local brit pop revivalist bands ive had the misfortune to see. |

Best gigs:
Roadrunner Rage Tour (even though i threw up about 50 times, but i gotta go to the VIP area for a while) Seeing the Dillinger Escape Plan with S.O.A.D (i loved them everyone else hated them, cunts.) Deftones @ SECC (my first gig) Deftones @ Braehead (for reasons i can't be assed explaining) I have a lot of favourite local gigs too, like the Cotton Club gig with Kaddish and Godplayer, that was an awesome night. Wosrt: Muse Limp Bizkit (Godsmack were good though) Too many bad local gigs to remember. |

quite hard to choose but off the top of my head -
Best: Oasis at Loch Lomond in 95 - they were at their height, I was mad on them, 40,000 people in the open air, I was drinking vodka at 9am, they left on a helicopter! (cant get more rock n roll) ![]() Sleater Kinney a couple of years ago at UCL in London - Attended a riot grrl picnic before gig, met loads of cool people, Just a great night ![]() The Verve at Brixton Academy, 1998 - Amazing atmosphere Death In Vegas - Kentish Town Forum 2000/2001 - they blew me away, i was on such a high (well , i had my first e so maybe... ![]() Worst: Gomez at Hammersmith Palais - 1999 - had to be seated, very dull, very boring! arggh, I cant think of any more bad gigs, im sure there are loads though... |

Well my favourite gig ever was
Muse @ corn exchange 2001 They're immense live, and i'm not just saying that cause the guy a few posts above me said they were his least favourite, maybe he got them confused with Sum 41. I'm sure everyones done that at some point, it's an easy mistake to make. and also The Hives and Less Than Jake both from Leeds last year. Not sure about the worst, I try not to go and see rubbish bands. |
