Best gig by far that I've ever been to was the OASIS Murrayfield gig in July 2000 which was part of the Standing on the Shoulder of Giants tour. The band played so well and 60,000 fans singing the words to every song from my favourite band was amazing to hear. I wish I could relive that night over and over. I got squashed to hell up front but it was worth it!
Worst gig I seen was in the states at new year'00/01. I seen a band called Spinal Tap playing at a bar for new bands. I think my ears were physically bleeding that night. Ones of the few times I've considered suicide just to make it stop. |

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE(28.01.2000) and PEARL JAM!(03.07.2000)
Damn, ok right, the Rage Against the machine concert was actually my first ever concert and jeeze, was it a good one. The atmosphere was electric and toward the end, everyone just didnt give a shit. It was like peeps were ripping the plastic bucket seats outta the seated area and throwing them into the crowd below. Asian Dub Foundation were the support and they rocked too, although you could tell that the crowd were not really that interested, but i was. What a night that was in London. We almost got on the wrong train home, did a super man and got changed on the train, realise we (me and Baz) were on the wrong train, jamp off and got on the right one in a flash. Pearl Jam on the other hand was a totally different kinda gig yo, it just ruled, simple as. Both, my favourirte gigs to date. Came home from both with screwed trainers, sore shin bones and at Pearl Jam, a foot print on my forehead.(Bloody crowd surfers )

I think anyone that was at PJ will tell you the same. That gig surpassed everything on so many levels. Damn fine gig. Having said that, riotous gigs like Less Than Jake are great for sheer comedy value, especially ones with the circle pits!!!
As for the footprint on yo head, that was me. I forgot I wasnt wearing studs. I'll do better next time. |

dude.every gig i`ve been to has rocked like a muthafucka, but Pearl Jam was definately the best, just outstanding. Rage was pure insanity, some guy fell off the tier we were on trying to surf. MXPX and Less Than Jake was most fun, skankin my ass off. The Ataris totally owned both times. U just cant get enuff these days, oh and Green Day the 1st time was nuts,i had a neck brace on for a week
totally worth it though ![]() |

The best gig ive been to had to be earlyier on this year at V2001. The only band i realy wanted to see Was Red Hot Chili Peppers! Man they magic!During one of thier new songs fae the new album thats not out yet, john's amp kinda blu up!,Chad and flea improvised for about 5 mins then they all jumped back in2 the song when john got a new amp se up,noe thats what you call magic! They played alot of the old funky shi# which was bra as i was in my elament watching Flea(the god of Bass).
At the same festivil,Muse were good as ever,as for the worst gig well, wheatus were also at V2001 and they were a big pile of smell poo! I watched them with me friends and aid "we'll head after they do teenage dirtbag" and a couple o thousand other people had the same idea! Cooo another Fine gig for me was the "happy Mondays" gig at SECC,man EVERYBODY in the crowd were dancing,Bez is the man! |

Cool, i really would like to see Muse. Not been to a gig lately, just local stuff. The last local gig was to see Illfunk, Spyamp and Merocaine. I've never seen a pit in a local bar before and my man Barry, the drummer for his band fucked his wrist over doing whatever. doh! Man, i need to check out some punk gigs soon, alot of energy that needs to be expended.

aye Muse where tight as hell,i had seen them the year before at Tin the park and that wiz enough 2 get me to buy their album,V2001 they just kicked everyones ass,at the end of thier headline on the sunday, they released these big white balloons(like the one's from 'the prisoner')mad so it was!The Foo Fighters were no bad either.
also seen Metallica twice,(when i was a bit o a mosher)second time when they headlined monsters of rock at donnington whay back in'94. what a line up,machine head, white zombie,Skid Row,therapy?(when they were good),Slayer(nearly died in the moshpit!)and of coarse Metallica(at this point they where at thier peek) were fantastic, thousands o people lifting their cig lighters to "nothing else matters"what a sight! the big high point was when every light went out, total darkness, the came "one" an absolute riot! Slash's Snake pit where also on the bill, but they were shiteaaaah! |
