Post in my quest for a battle partner(s)

i took this from <a href="http://www.mrblunt.com" target="_blank">www.mrblunt.com</a> and excellent hip hop site. Sicne i'm looking for people to battle against, i thought i would post these simple rules on making rhymes.

------------------------
Rhyming wit Divine..Lesson 1
This will show how exactly I've developed my Rhyme scheme and how complex it can get....this is for those ingrates who would like some help..or if you just wanna know how i came to get so damn ill...lol

There are 17 major voul sounds expressed in english writting..if you match up certain sounds..the actual words you're rhyming..wont matter...rhyming with "multi's" is all about fluentcy..the smoother the better...some times kids rhyme words that are too large and it sounds forced...once you get the certain sounds down you can rhyme anything you want on any topic you want ..and when you can incorporate punches with your smoothness..then you have a nasty emcee

the 17 sounds are

</font>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">a- as in alpha </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">a- as in asia </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">a- as in cart </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">e- as in even or leave </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">e- as in let </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">e- as in verse </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">i- as in script </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">i- as in site </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">k- as in card </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">o- as in over </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">o- as in all, aw </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">oi- as in coin or foil </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">u- as in book </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">au- as in out </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">u- as in rule or food </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">u- as in butt </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">yu- as in few through </font></li>
  • <font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">zh- vision or basicly anything with ion
    </font></li>
<font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">now mix and match words based on those sounds..they don't have to sound the exact same but they'll apear fluent..for example:
Heart Failure cuz you can't 'Follow-Suit'
Can't 'Talk or Chew', Just 'Nod and Drool' cus i cut your 'Skull in Two'
Now you 'Swallow Through' some 'Hollow tubes' because you can't eat 'Solid Food
Sit in 'Solitude'....ect
You can see the sounds (o- as in aw or all) in the first word and (yu- as in few or through) in the second word..

You dont always have to mix and match though..you can stay with one consistent sound..

for example:

Parts of your heart come apart as my art starts to depart
Fire-arms scar with sharp darts that bombard with shards

You Can see (a- as in cart) is dominant

Thats the basic rendering behind all rhyming.
The next step is to dive into "Aliteration"
What's Aliteration?..It's starting more than one word with the same consonant or voul sound in consecutive arrangment..

for example:
Mastered a Mass Murderous Massacre
A Catalyst Casting Curses From Castle's; Casuistry of Cathaters

You can see the first line consisted of "M" and the Second with "C"..

If you Mix this style with "Multi's" You can pretty much toy with words..

The 3rd and 4th Major scheme is called "double rhythm", and "tripple rhythm"..
It's used commoningly without even being aware..How it works it having a rhyme within a rhyme..the best way to show is by example:

"All your nerves'll break b/c every crippling verse is laced with a ripping burst of grace
Bird of prey; Egyptian Griffen Gripping your vertebrae
Pestilence; Another Number whispering in the Murder Rate"

This exmaple is filled with complexity..more than meets the untrained eye

To start it Has Multi's (e- as in verse) and (a- as in asia) and (i- as in script)

Secondly Aliteration is present with "Egyptian Griffen Gripping"..this is also a rhyme within a rhyme...
This rhyme is surrounded by Multi's of the first line..and the beginging and end of this line rhyme with the lines before and after it...this is double rhythm

Lastly in the last line you notice yet another rhyme within a rhyme.."another number" rhymes..it's surrounded by the first set of multi's yet again..however what makes it tripple rhythm is the fact the next word in the line rhymes with the double rhythm word of the previous line :"whispering/griffen"...It's not an exact match but they share the same voul sound of "i- as in script) and both end in "ing" sound...how ever there is an extra syllable in "whispering"

After all the techniques used..you have to remember content/imagery/punchlines/and orignality of words are extreamly important!!!!!!!

master these..you'll be as good as me..lol

hope this helps

You never know, you might be able to learn a few things from that even if you aint a rapper.
