Well, what a night at Curly's...
Allergo were on first and this was the first time i'd seen them...... FUCKING HELL! Thats quite possibly the best metal ive ever seen played, and it was by a non professional, reasonably young band. I have to say, I was more impressed than I have been in a long time... these guys are shit hot. WOW! Second, Cupid Stunt.... the singer doesnt seem to know where he grew up... First thing he said, he was raised in America. Then suddenly the accent changed and he was English, then later on, he was suddenly pure scots... hmmmmmm. The music was good, kinda classic rock and punk stuff, but the band themselves didnt impress me... Third, my boys State of Affairs. Well since we had brought two bus loads of people to the gig, the crowd was pretty active for them. They played better than ive ever seen them play in the 2 years ive known them, and they blew me away once again. Bloody incredible, and although my opinion is pretty biased, i think its fairly accurate .Last, and pretty much least, were 4star. I feel really nasty saying this but, although theyre a decent bunch of lads, the music didnt come anywhere near the quality of the 3 earlier bands. Most of the songs i found it hard to pick out a rhythm, and the few times the drums were in time with the rest of the music, the bass was out. Vocals were good now and then, but only for a few seconds at a time, then it just turned into a noise. Sorry guys, dont stop playing or anything, just give it a while longer. Not too impressive. AND THE WINNERS...... *drumroll* STATE OF AFFAIRS.... close second came Allergo, only 3 points behind. Cupid Stunt 3rd and 4Star in last place... Congratulations to all the bands who played, and especially to State of Affairs and Allergo, who blew me away... A great night...

Hey man thanks for the good word!
We managed to trade in the 10 Hours Rehersal Time (Second Prize) for one multi Track recording. So the Three points didn't really mean shit! oh well always next year eh! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> |
