valentines day sucks more when u are actually with someone, tis so shit and cheesy and like, oooh, we're sposed to buy each other things today, cos that's what everyone else is doin. tis yuck, and shit without someone, it's just another day, why worry about it? with someone, suddenly people expect summat of u, fuck that. if i want to buy someone summat it's more likely to be because i see summat (any day of the year) have the money and think, yeah, they would like that. there's summat shit aboot sharin a supposed special day with some one when everyone else who is attached is doin the same thing, tis just so fuckin textbook!

or maybe i'm just bitter and lonely

it's only textbook if you want it to be. + the way you say "have to buy each other things" suggests a half arsed attempt at getting them something they might like. which is a bit unfortunate for people that feel that wasy about it. i got my boy ash tickets (he fucking loves ash + doesn't know they're playing) + i'm making him a mix cd too, nothing to do with commercial shite, just thoughtful really. but i think it's a nice idea + i don't care if everyone else is doing it too, i just see it as yet another excuse to really treat my boy. and before anyone starts - CARD COMPANIES DID NOT MAKE IT UP, IT'S A ROMAN FESTIVAL. but yeah, i like valentines day.

nah, i dinnae have an issue with havin a "special day" so to speak, i just always feel like a fanny doin shit that's expected of me, i really hate it, i think it's a better idea to pick a day in the year each without tellin the other what day u have chosen, then heap all the valentines day type stuff on them then, i juse prefer that idea, that's all! then the day also becomes more about that person than a comparison of imaginaton/bank balance.

yeah, i do totally see where yr coming from + i agree with that too, but valentines day is nice too.

Love is ace, i miss being in love. I used to hate it when i just got dumped but then i realised that all the good times were worth it so i kinda got over that. I was broken hearted and everyone knew about it on ugs, i apologise for all the bitching and attention seeking threads i had. I also remember putting up a thread about how i was gonna try get her back and for some reason she just happened to be browsing the forums, talk about bad timing. I also think that some of the folk on here (not naming names) who claim to have had a broken heart havent, believe me when it happens you'll know about it. Same goes for being in love. Sorry if i come accross all elite and posted shite

I miss being in love too...My frist ever boyfriend I thought was perfect and then he just had to go and ruin it all. He's now happy and I'm still alone in this world (romantically).

People who are in love are lucky but in a way, so are those that aren't. Plenty of choice...Just we're picky

I'm spending Valentines Day at a friends flat at his bands 'Album Launch Party'. It's going to be an interesting affair with 40 people in their small kitchen! I'll be with friends so it won't be totally alone. Hurrah.
