fopp and grouchos it has to be for me, much cheapness! i only tend to go into virgin and hmv when they have sales on or just to look at their special offers

but if ur cd shopping u still have to go in them and look just incase,even if theres not a sale on..its just the way its done.

yeah well i only have the bear minimum, which is really bad for my purse. i have had to take drastic action and start to walk around the overgate instead of through it, to avoid going into fopp, and keep myself busy whenever i go past any other music shop, as i know if i go in i WILL come out with something!!

I think Fopp is the best, I got some pretty good cd's out of there, even if I have been kicked out twice for like necking with one of my girl freinds. Good for cheap CD's though.

I seriously think Virgin and FOPP tie on staff friendliness though, because they're the only places where I've had people comment on my purchases.. HMV have NEVER ever done that. Fopp is closest to my work though so it's always good for breaktime browsing, or picking up something new if I'm short of time and in its current 5 quid range (last time I checked) you could buy EVERTHING the Smiths ever did. Not that I'm bitter at paying fullprice...

a, where the hell else am i going to get 12" lps by bands i like ? (well Virgin did have a buthole surfers lp)

b, Cheap as chips...in fact i got the "That Darn Punk" soundtrack and a Goober Patrol e.p. for less than a bag of chips

c, Better posters in their poster rack and above all - The £3 dvd bin where i have found classics such as Total Recall and Commando
