My guess would be that you sent her an email and it had a virus attached to it. Get yourself a firewall Laura. And you should scan your system for viruses too.

oh yes and before you say "i didnt send becca an email though" you wouldn't know about it, it sends itself to anything with an @ in it on your PC.

That's just my guess though.

Yeah apparently i did have a virus before but its gone now. Also all the message from Becca said was "Important Data" and the attachment and ive had a few emails saying that containing viruses but never from any addresses i know.

That happens all the time with viruses and hotmail. Thet get sent to you from your mates addresses and stuff.
Never ever open anything that says "important file" or anything like that. Unless you asked someone to send it.

strange soda. Nah, I dont have a clue, i've had weird emails from ppl on my contact lists recently with virus shite but I dont pay it any notice now. Hotmail playing up im guessing.

I've actually had that before. I didn't have any viruses but got the email sent from someone not in my contacts list, from a regular spammer. As usual hotmail threw it in my junk mail and i just ignored it. I've heard that that particular virus ("important info" +Data.zip) won't actually send the email from your account but pretends too. This might sound impossible but someone I know sent an email to me faking the senders address. I opened it up using outlook + hotmail and it appeared like it was sent from myself. Worrying eh?

Thankfully hotmail has McAfee and Blueyonder has another virus protection so I'm pretty much safe, apart from the parasites that installed themselves a bit back.
