matt laing, manager, glasgow rangers 95/96
the guys were down at my house the other night and being caught up in the footie fever i installed champ manager 2. oh man.
me and matt appointed ourselves joint managers of the glorious glasgow rangers and in our first season we won the coca cola cup, the premier division and reached the semi's of the champions league. it was fantastic. and the old one is really quite difficult! i signed emilio burtagueno, spain and barcelona's resident in house goalscorer during the 1980's and in particular the 1986 world cup in mexico. he is 36 in it, but whilst playing for some obscure south american outfit he scored 71 goals in 32 games. needless to say the curse of ibrox is upon him and he has scored no goals in 3 appearences and been generally pish. lauders and gazza are amazing. as is lajos detari. |

i was the youth coach, and all the good decisions were made by me.
you forgot to mention that without davey robertson the team was rubbish. as was the whole squad at the beginning of the second season, due to you going on a no-namer signing frenzy. |

i promptly resigned due to andys insistence that we must keep buying random players. this had an adverse effect as it sodomised our all conquering side, who beat man u at old trafford 2-1 incidentaly. he then bought robbie winters and i decided that was the last straw. however i will re appoint myself next time i go to his house. my signings were consistent performers throughout the season, however ian rush was a whore for the big occasion and failed to impress on home soil. indeed gazza and laudrup were stupidly good, however lajos detari's avr rating left alot to be desired, 4's and 5's far too often.

alex cleland was in our team sometimes, very unfortunately. only when injuries prevented jiri novotny from the czech republic contuining his 7.56 avg rating.
im in my 5th season now and i have georgie hagi. hes really good. i won the league by the beginning of march last season and my goal difference was +90. still havent won the champions league though! |
