Ok, so, we werent properly in the middle of nowhere but we felt like it.
Heres a couple of pics of me, chavez (alan) and our mate bateys adventure into the ochills. We done a 12 mile walk to the hill foots then spent the next 7 hours climbing 3 hills and planting a flag (stolen from a golf club we took a "shortcut" thru). The veiw of the landscape was amasing once the pain from the 12 hours walking with a 15kg bag on my back had went away. Heres me trying to look inconspicuous[sic] with the flag in fishcross The view from about 500 meters. It was pretty fantastic from up there, it was such a clear day you could see all the way to edinburgh. What made it easier was having the IRA to help us get the flag up the hill The view from Ben Cleuch at 721m and 3 very proud flag planters Last edited by WarmToast : 24th September 2004 at 09:27 PM. |
