thats a fine selection of music, do you still not agree that drugs can influence music, have a listen to some more of pulp, wu tang, pj harvey and the velvet underground and you might just hear what i'm getting at.

Of course drugs have influenced and fucking changed the history of music. But this by no means implies that you cant make great music without drugs. It merely states that some great shit can be reached musically under the influence of certain mind altering drugs.
I have read so many stories of great musicians reaching creative levels through psychadelic drugs. Im actually reading the biography of Jim Morrison just now, its pretty mental, he used to take acid and ring the band as he was coming up and demand to rehearse with them. Fuck, even the meaing of the band name The Doors is about drugs (the doors of perception) The whole Seargent Pepper era was heavily drug related. Oh and look at the best guitarist who ever lived. Jimi Hendrix +Acid=good friends. |
