all this afaics, rofl, fyad, brb stuff is so confusing. half the time i have no idea what people are talking about. surely there is time for proper words and sentences. if not, make time. please. i am so confused.

Not necessarily on here but in general what is so annoying is people writing in "text speak' eg: Nt nec on here bt n gen whts so ann. is ppl ritin n txt spk
It's as if vowels are beginning to become extinct!

I always put that down to them being illiterate rather than using text speak (a lazy excuse for illiteracy)

And of course, there are always the threads which degenerate when someone picks someone else up on this type of thing.

There's a difference between someone picking on a minor point, such as using the wrong "there", "your", or "too", and slagging someone off for using text speech. The former is just being an arsey twat. I know the difference between there, their, and they're, but I'll still put the wrong one in by accident on occasion. People make typos, it happens.

Using text speech on the other hand, is just retarded.
