i find that believable. and i feel terribly sorry for them too. however i do believe that four star have played in places shitloads better than the shore. and are by far above it. playing to 12 year olds is not what these guys deserve.so ill be there so they can play to me instead.
ps. what bands were you thinking of that were better than four star that have played there? i can think of one or two but not many. the shore is generally a pretty drab place for wee bands to get started. usually when bands get started they're not on their game and will evolve into bigger and better things, god willing. however four star are pretty much at the top of their game and arent "starting out" if you dig my britches. |

Good bands who've played the Shore:Paperbitch,No Further Truth,Ghosts of The American Dead,I might be wrong but I seem to remember Anyones Junk playing there,Danebo,Equilibrium just to name a few.
I'm not saying the Shore is a great place to play,we've also played alot better places than that e.g the westie and the Beat Bar but we still play! |

the shore mainly has starting out bands, most of them are pretty dull and bad, but hey they are all just starting out, and some will get better some wont.
only thing i would say is to get a propper sound guy instead of whoever does it cuz it bloody sucks. Peace x |

the shore is a good place to play if you get the crowd behind you, which is pretty easy as there are a lot of shit bands there, but there the occasional good ones. and sayin somehwere isnt up to your standards is wrong, you should play at whatever venues you can get, you never know, you mite gain a whole load of new fans playin somewhere like the shore. and we mite be goin on a uk tour next year, so there shld be some pretty gd places to play at there, and we cldve played king tuts if it wasnt for a cancelation.

this ian character speaks wise words. Like if people in the shore dig us next friday... we'll totally be into it! we'll love it, as long as they dont annoy us by adding us to msn and bugging us every day... but hey, you get that right?
But, this ISN'T about talkin about the best venues your band has played. IMO - the beat bar is good fun. The westie sound is good, But none of them add up to the cathouse yo! or barfly. Whats that? four star have played the cathouse? and barfly 5 times? Last edited by Grantticus : 17th November 2004 at 11:36 PM. |
