were u one of those kids who would come out to play, then ask to go to the park but it would be the one that we would have to walk past ur house to get to. then wen we get close to ur house u say, "i need a drink, so stop at my house." then we get to ur house then u say, "nah, im just going in now."

Which one were u? the victim or the kid that did the ditching?

I was often the ditcher, often the ditched.. both situations sucked.

Ditcher when company just got too annoying and you just wanted to play The New Zealand Story on your C64.

The Ditched when better company came along.

It happens..

Actually, I never really ditched that much.. just would stand in the lobby in my socks and wouldn't even leave the house when I told them "Nah, I'm not coming out. Not allowed. *closes door*".

i was always the ditcher as a kid, but not in any way a mean way. i just always grew bored easily and fucked off home to my spectrum (c64's sucked dave

). I'd go out cos my mum nagged at me for sitting about watching tv or playing the speccy, but i always got bored as fuck outdoors. this changed at highschool cos my mum didn't wanna send me to kirkton high so i had to wander to linlathen every day, made some mad friends and spent half my time on the other side of dundee. this was when i sometimes got ditched and had to fuck about as a loner kirktoner in fintry/linlathen or toddle home. guess deeds catch up with people.

i remember one time about 8 when i was actually out of the house and i was at the age where the other side of the same scheme is like the other side of the world, we tried to get a friend to come out and he wouldn't - so we sneaked in his kitchen and ate loadsa stuff. remember kids, if you do wanna stay inside - bolt those doors!
