In reply to the original poster, it's not shallow, you're either attracted to someone or you're not. I'll probably get flamed for this, but I have to say from experience, that you probably don't want to go out with a nurse. It's a very stressful job, involving a lot of long hours, and you'll therefore just subject yourself to a lot of hassle.

I honestly don't see what's shallow about it. If you refuse to be friends with a member of the opposite sex because you don't find them attractive, that's shallow.

If you are uninterested in pursuing something with a member of the opposite sex because you are not attracted to them, then that's perfectly natural. Going out with someone isn't something you do just to be polite.

Speaking of Blind Dates, I watched this really bad blind date video at school today except all the men and woman were metals or gases or something. Well, elements of some kind. And they had stupid names like "Doreen Chlorine" who picked the Sodium dude so that tghey would react and make salt. It was really very bad.

lmao that must have been quite painful! We just had old videos of a scientist doing experiments while stood in way of camera with the typical coice over that cuold put you to sleep.
