my brain hurts...

What do you do when your brain just stops working?

Mine appears to have reached meltdown this evening. I have a million and one things to do, most importantly being my dissertation for uni. I also have to make a canvas stretcher, sort out Christmas cards and presents, do my washing, somehow find money to pay my credit card bill, write a letter trying to get me off jury duty...amongst other things. Yet all I can manage is to sit and stare at a computer screen, and I appear to have lost my memory and sanity. I have an overwhelming urge to go out and get utterly plastered, but won't have the oppertunity til Saturday.

Has this happened to anyone else? How do you get through the brain freeze and actually get some work done? I have tried making lists, but they grow longer every day and nothing on the list ever gets done.

go to bed. now. and make a list in the morning. and don't put anything on it that isn't a priority. and put easy things at the top of the list.

Thanks, good advice I went to bed but unfortunately couldn't sleep. Ah well, still feel better today for the rest. And now I am going to sit infront of the tv and drink beer and forget all about my...what was I supposed to be doing again?
