student radio
Hello everyone,
I will soon be presenting a morning show on Edinburgh's student-run Fresh Air FM in March, and one of the things I would like to do is have local(ish) bands come in to do sessions. Would Misled Youth be interested in this? The only drawback I can see is that my show will be from 5-7 am on Friday mornings. I am testing the waters to see if there are any bands I like that would still be interested in coming in at this time. The pre-breakfast slot is listened to, you know, farmers and drug addicts if that's what you're looking to break into. -TallyCola |

Hmmm, sounds interesting. dunno who'd wanna listen to us at that time in the morn, but i'd certainly be up for it. just give us a few more details ie,specific date, equip, how long a set. etc. Could be a good platform for upand coming bands. cheers

Hi Lee,
The dates aren't finalized yet but I could say either March 11 or 18. If you like, you may be able to come in earlier in February at a more reasonable time and record a session, (just about three songs and a couple questions, which I would play over one hour in my show), which I would just play on my show later and leave in the studio for others as well. That might be tricky to do however as practice studio time is doled out on a weekly basis. The studio is pretty teeny so it would have to be an acoustic set, there are only two guest mics at the moment but there are apparently supposed to be three. We could use the presenter mic as well to cover everything if need be. Still interested? |
