Well in general I would say it'd better to go down to places in person. I think the Beat Bar is always over-18s now but you might be able to hire downstiars and have it over-14s. The phone number for the Beat Bar is 01382 227395. Other places you could check out are Drouthy Neebors, Somewhere Else(used to be The Balcony) and Dexter's (on Castle Street, on the other side from Soundcontrol). I'm not sure of the age policies of these places though.

If you think you'll be able to get a decent crowd (like get alot of your friends along) you could always find a pub that has a Function Suite and hire that out. If you do that you shouldn't have a problem with people under 18 not getting in because it'll usually be in a seperate area from the main bar.
