I had a call from an agency the other day and they gave me a number to call about a job and the person went "right, let's start with this interview!"

I'd just woken up, was still sitting in bed heh and I was like "wait what?! I don't even know what company this is for!"

Not too optimistic...

every shop I've ever paid in has paid fuck all and treated all the staff like shit. the general public are complete morons, but at least in a call centre they're straight to the point because they're paying to speak to you, and you can always just hang up on them. I hate working in shops, it's tiring and horribly degrading. in a call centre you get a seat and a PC and you actually have to THINK about things instead of showing someone where the jeans are or having to tie their laces for them. bah!

I lost out on a job yesterday cause I wasn't the minkiest. I'm not sure whether thats good or bad.

That's what I would worry about! Even when I walk past one of their stores, the smell of all the different products wafting out the door is *so* strong. I rarely venture in as while individual products are nice enough, the combination of all of them crammed into one room at one time is really overpowering and headache-inducing, for me at least.
