Even though I am bah humbug, my family gets together and celebrates as tradition, I rotate the cooking each year with my mum and my sister.
This year I'm doing smoked salmon with melon and prawn cocktail with fresh brown bread to start. Then roast beef (we all hate turkey) with yorkshire puds, roast totties, and veg, all covered in gravy. Not decided on pudding yet, as traditional christmas pudding is vile. No doubt the chocolates on the tree will have been eaten by christmas day by the kids, who always find them all as they are looking through the presents and shaking them etc to work out what they are! |

Yay!
I'm starting my Christmas shopping tomorrow. I watched Elf today and now I wish it was Christmas so much sooner. And it's so right about it's better giving presents than getting them. I love seeing peoples faces because last year my presents were great and everyone was really surprised. And this year Kenzie will be old enough to realise what is happening and I can take him to see Santa. I think we are booking somewhere for Christmas dinner this year as my mum is working Boxing Day and can't be dealing with all the cooking. Does anyone know of anywhere in Dundee that do nice Christmas meals? |
