I made a chilli last night. I usually put in about 5 teaspoons of chilli powder to 500g mince, it's delicious though I say so myself. It all got eaten so tonight I'm making pasta with a tomato and chilli sauce.
I love chilli

You should try adding hot chocolate powder to chilli, three dessert spoons for a big pots worth. It sounds minging, but it's airwolf as fuck

mmm worth a try, do you still add a wee bit of sugar or does the hot choc suffice? Also. do kidney beans still go into that recipe?

I just use the hot chocolate, there's more than enough sugar in the hot chocolate. Yeah, I put kidney beans in sometimes, it depends on what I feel like. Whole mushrooms are good as well.

Yum that sounds tasty with the mushrooms instead of kidney beans, I will make it next time I get mince and decide if it's airwolf, thankyou for the ideas

the hottest sauces on earth:

http://extremefood.com/category.php?id=ds_collector

Caldera tops out at 16,000,000 Scoville units - only $2000 a bottle.

(for the record, a jalapeno is ~2000 Sco-units, a habanero 800,000)

Bizarrely, the Victory Records printed catalogue used to have a hot sauce section at the back. It's gone now (that was 97 or so). Tescos need to get Dave's Insanity Sauce back in stock.. that was nice.

I read that the highest rated stuff on that site is just something to show off at parties. It's a crystal of pure capsicum, and would blister your tounge/poison you if you actually tried to eat it.

There was a great thread on somethingawful a few years ago, regarding some of the sauce from there, the stuff that's really hot but safe to eat obviously! Apparently some role-playing nerd in the US got fed up of this fat guy stealing his sandwiches, when they were playing games at the US equivilent of games workshop, so he made a sandwich that was absolutely covered with really really shot sauce. Needless to say it had the desired effect.

I'm a total wuss when it comes to spicy things at the moment. Normal chilli peppers are as hot as I can take at the moment. I grew up eating regular British food, and didn't really start eating spicy food until I reached my late teens, and felt the need to experiment.

People that live in places like Texas must have stomachs of steel.
