When I was little I could eat the hottest stuff without batting an eyelid... Now a mild chilli has my eyes streaming...
Once I made Kung Pao chicken, and you had to fry off dried chillis. There must have been a misprint or something in the book cos when I put the chilli in the pan, the fumes that came off were so noxious that everyone had to evacuate the kitchen, it was impossible to go in for a few minutes. Fuck bio terrorism when you have dried chilli.... |

thing is the hotter something gets the less of a taste you'll get off it so people who are into the big scoville chilli's are obviously S&M lovers. I saw on brainiacs that peppers have a mechanism that triggers pain in taste buds, this means they were designed to ward off predators (hahah peppers are prey) and things that'd eat them. so why the funk did people decide to eat them?
like some prehistoric jamie oliver caveman... "oooh ooooh aaaaargh.. YAAAAAARRR!!! fuck me..... that was nippy..... you're goin' in the pot my son, kushti!!" |

Try Bick's Molten Chilli Lava sauce, it's amazing as a tomato sauce replacement. It has a kick to it, but no more then normal chilli, well maybe a touch more, so you don't need as much say on a bacon buttie.
