hey folks, i know there's a wee review thing on the pod site but the D have their own site and its time it was gettin used for the D methinks.
i really liked the gig. but i wasnt too hot on the atmosphere in the cathouse. i dunno if this was due to its recent renovations making it quite gloomy (exclusively to the first floor cos the 2nd floor is really cool) or the wee guys that were there. a few folk ive spoken to said they felt really old, and i couldnt help but agree. HOWEVER i agree that the opening song was class! it totally geared us up for the rest of the set. it all went swimmingly but got a little too tame for my liking towards the end. but it was all saved wen we had a classic moshpit attack and dramatic ending. star of the night had to be ian though, everything about him looked and sounded effortlessly cool as fuck and i couldnt stop watching him. ian owned the stage and the crowd. it was nice to see daedalain get back to their roots for a while, many a night was spent singing insomnia of my skin at the barrier. and although it's cool to see new young faces at the gig - its excellent that daedalian are allowing the fan base to grow up along side them. enojy perth peeps. |

Hey thanks a lot for the words. Was a great night and I feel we did command a certain amount of energy from the crowd, who were fucking fantastic. Around 25 people kept saying they felt too old and there was around what? 100 people watching is. Thats a quarter of the crowd.
It was a very good gig for us, selling a lot of CD's and getting good few names on the mailing list. The three days went without a hitch and we had a great time and met some awesome people, and some awesome bands. We are planning a week long Daedalian extravaganza in February over Scotland again with the (hoping) release of our Doube disc/DVD. Thanks again. Bx www.myspace.com/daedalian |
