Wake Up Call were doing gigs for their high school, Morgan Academy, and stunned the audience at one perticular summer concert with a performance of the song "Alright" (written by bass player) and a fantastic cover of Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends." After the annual Rock & Pop awards, which went horribly wrong for them, the bassist decided to call it quits leaving C.C and Holden in the dark wondering how they could get the band back on its feet again. A few months later, Holden and C.C decided to start from scratch as Holden went from drummer to guitarist. They were constantly trying out drummers when they finally found one in Gav Ogilvie. They decided to scrap Wake Up Call all together and called themselves A Simple Romance! From then on the band continued to rise from the ashes and C.C's song writing was better than ever before. The band had a full live set which included 3 covers and 9 songs all written after the Wake Up Call era. They began doing gigs over Dundee playing at Dexters, The Shore and Baxter Park in the space of 2 weeks. The band has become a hit with the public with their emo style like a "Scottish Blink 182" and range of slow, heart-felt songs to fast pace, jumping anthems. The future looks well and truly bright for the trio.

those songs are funnier than weird al yancovitch on crack
their bass player was apparently too embarrased to admit being in the band

the song "hard to breathe" just after the one minute mark..... YANKEE ACCENT IMITATING TOM DELONGUE ...guffaw, snort!!
also.... at the end of waterfall before the lead shambles at 3.10 (i think) a whole line of yankiness.... YEEHAW!

funny thing is though...they seem to make out that they are creative artists and dont deserve this small tirade of abuse..even though there music is about as dynamic as a blunt pencil and they play at morgan academy!
