is it illegal to get your nose pierced with a piercing gun now?
as in...will the cunts in the forum centre still do it or not?
the reason i ask is because i dont want to pay an extra 15 quid for some overweight retard in piercing place to do it when i got get it done for less money and pain by zee gun.

naw it's not illegal....
i got mine done there years back, and i got my other nostril done in a piercing shop..
the one that was done with the gun got really infected and did not heal right - ended up i had to take it out and get it redone with a needle.
the one that was done with a needle first time healed really well.

in the long run you will save money getting "some overweight retard in a piercing place to do it"

(umm.. I did not think that dundee had any overweight retarded piercers.. but there you go)
I would recommend phil at metalurgey on dock street. he did mine.

but how? i dont know a lot about piercings really but i know that a few friends have all had it done with a piercing gun and have had no problems with it at all. that means no infection or trouble with it healing.

i got my lip pierced both times in phils, the place seems pretty decent exept for the guy on the counter who seems to not be able to do anything right. i went in once just needing a ball for a lip hoop and he gave me a ridiculasly massive ball which clearly wasnt going to fit. then he made me take my piercing out so he could measure it. he then tried giving me another one which looked like it would be suitable. i got about 7 metres out the shop before i realised it was a labrette ball, not a hoop ball. so i went back in and told him that it was (again)the wrong thing he had sold me. he had trouble understanding what the fuck i was talking about for roughly 3 or 4 minutes then someone else took over and sold me the right size. bang up job, retard.
also, a few people i know have been pierced at phils recently and complained about infections afterwards, these people have all been pierced before at phils aswell and know how to take care of piercings.

it just doesnt seem sensible to get it pierced with a needle which is more painful and expensive that getting it done with a piercing gun.

ken?

I got my nose pierced 13 yrs ago in the forum centre with the gun (cos i was waaayyy underage and no-one would do it properly til i was older) and never had any problems with infection or healing, still got mine, most of my mates got it done there too and had no problems so you'll be fine. It only cost £4 back then! haha. I was watching a programme about peircings on tv a couple of months ago and according to them the gun is illegal for the nose for a number of reasons but mainly the studs they use arent meant for the nose, apparently. bloody hard to get the butterfly off the back with those dodgy studs. Even tho they arent allowed, the forum centre still do it tho. if i was to be doing the peircing now i know more about it i'd go more with the needle purely cos of the stud.

read this, might help you decide explains why the gun shouldnt be used blah blah blah http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art6543.asp

teh quality and precision of the gun will be far less than that of a piercing needle i'd have thought.

I had mine done in... Pindrop, i think, in Edinburgh, mit needle.
i miss it. it fell out and was a bastard to put back in so i gave up.
my friend paid for it though

'The studs used in the gun were designed to pierce the lobes of the ear, the nose is quite thick cartilage, and in some instances the gun fails to pierce the nose on the first attempt. A needle produces a very quick, short, sharp pain, but because the studs in the gun are quite blunt they are forced through the wound by brute force, this results in trauma to the wound and it can cause pain for several days afterwards.
The whole reason for getting your nose pierced is for aesthetics, it is very hard to sometimes get the proper placement using the gun, and you have a very large unsightly stud in your nose. The needle method gives minimal pain, exact placement, and you can have a tiny stud inserted immediately.'

Has no one realised yet that piercings are pointless?
