these are photoshop images i made of our official logo .....

and the same for unofficial ones that i drew myself with ye olde pen and paper then scaned and photoshopped, only 2 for "abyss", the rest are song titles.....

feedback ??
if nyone likes them an wants one for their band, id be more than happy to obligue.

lol...last one is great, but i like the deep red on white in the first spider one, if you just enlarged that and got rid of the spider, it look braw!

I found all of them quite difficult to make out.
I rekcon logo's should be pretty clear at a glance.

saying that - what the fuck do i know.
Plus, i have absolutely no clue about what's "cool" to you metal folk...

This one is generic death metal font number 1 I think.

Most death metal logos are in a similar vein.

I like the cryptopsy one because it is death metal-ish but also readable!

If you put "death metal logo" into google image search you will see what I mean.

What I like in particular is that Jon (OP) has used the logo in with another image (spider/scorpion) so it's not just the same old boring DM logo as used by everyone.

good point, but yeah its all death metal 101, but i like how you can be more artistic in that way than a boring old font type, but then again i spose you could do that in a non evil way, but thats not the subject at hand ken.
anyhoo there are alot of different cariations on this, local example, vlsellum have easy to read letters that include actual "vulsellums"
its probably just not hard to read for me as im used to it, whereas non metal fans are not..

another idea i was thinking was to do one as a standard really bold font, but put lightning rising up through the letters if that makes sense, im away to do that soon methinks. just cant fing a suitable word to do it for yet

there's more "artistic" ways of using fonts you would usually call bland by placing them differently or applying effects - break the mould and have somethign different! i couldnae be arsed trying to figure out who each CD was by if i was into that stuff haha!
