The Venue

Right in the stack leisure Park (very wrongfully named) Theres a building called the Venue. I've never knew of it to be open at anytime, but i cant think of it as anything other than a music venue? It is a fair size like, was just wondering if anyone knew what it was? :P

I'm pretty sure it used to be a crappy night club years ago, thats what i'd heard anyway

it used to be a nightclub and generally stayed open for about 4 months before drugs busts closed it. It was open when the Stacks Leisure Park first opened.

aye, along with the buzz bar. they both just attracted the wrong people and ever night ended up in someone getting lifted for fighting or dealing.

its a fair whack of a size like but i cant imagine it ever getting used again for anything civilised or half interesting due to location and the locals.

My uncle was actually the manager of it, my aunty worked there too. Was quite a cool looking club inside, had a nice diner and these freaky mannequin things that moved...used to scare me as a kid when I'd go in during the day : /

They actually had it 2 years but it went a bit tits up with gang fights. Got shut coz of the fighting between Beechie and Lochee. On its last night open, there was so many fucking police, people battering the cops, blood everywhere argggh! Was a total riot, police wouldnt alow it open longer.

Should get Derek Pakora down there. Wouldn't get me back in there

i think the technical term for the place is shithole.

i frequently walk through lochee at random hours of the day/night and rarely see anything that resembles trouble! mostly just loner junkies! maybe most the twats have already killed each other.

Speaking of auld drunks in Lochee, Some poor bastard was bundled in a taxi by the polis last night outside Lidl. He took a right bumper when he tried to pick up an empty plastic bag and fell backwards onto his head. He realised then he couldnt walk and stayed glued to a railing for 5 minutes til they turned up.

I've been here since may and i've not seen much in the way of trouble, a few drunks, two lassies pummeling each other and a man fight off a raving woman.
