I always make sure and have a burns supper. Whisky and Burns is a great combination.

I went to the Cupar Burns society dinner with my Dad a few years back, and that was mental. I couldn't keep up with the amount of booze they were drinking. They started the night with a few pints, but they had, and finished, bottles of bacardi, Grouse, Vodka and a few bottles of wine too.

One year Dad even came back and had bought a car!

I'm just not a very big fan of Robert Burns. I'd much rather have a James Watt Night, or a James Clerk Maxwell Night or a John Napier Night if we're going to have an evening devoted to a famous Scot.
