There's no evidence that protesting against things gives you cancer, but there's been no research into the long-term effects of protesting against things, and one day they might discover that it gives you cancer.

Therefore we shouldn't protest against things until we know more about the risks

I'm sure more people have died while protesting than from radiation illnesses caused by phone masts.

Correct because the number of people who have got radiation illnesses from mobile masts is 0.

I think we should sue KJ. He has refused to prove that posting on UGS doesn't cause you to go bald and grow extra limbs.

China is a dictatorship, and they have much lower rates of cancer than we do. We can only conclude that democracy causes cancer.

The short term effects of dying from cancer aused by phone masts are obvious...but what about research into the LONG term effects of dying from cancer caused by phone masts?
This should become a medical priority.
Wont someone please think of the children?

using a phone for 20 years is probably less harmful than living aberdeen for a bout half that ( i have no way in hell of proving this i am just saying it for the craic)

you're actually wrong. Because more people who had mobile phones died in the last 20 years than people who lived in Aberdeen did in the last 10.

ah so you're one of those materialists who believe in science and evidence. The ancients didn't have that and they did fine for thousands of years with their traditional investigation methods. I bet you've been vaccinated by big pharma and everything!

This is actually quite an interesting one. I watched a program about cancer rates in areas of the world with higher natural background radiation counts.

It turns out that rates of cancer can actually be lower than in areas with less background radiation, because constant exposure to the levels of radiation there, activate certain cancer defence mechanisms in the body.
