In my experience, online personality has little to do with whether someone is sound in real life. People often have shorter tempers on the internet because it's easier to get pissed off with people when you're not talking face to face (hence things like road rage), and some people just like to wind people up on the internet, because they think it's really funny to see people get net-rage over completely inconsequential things.

Personally I don't judge anyone from the net, unless they're BNP types, and aren't just doing it to get a rise out of people. Then they can just suck it.

I think most folk take the internet so serious is because they approach the internet as an interaction with another person, the same as a phone call or a handshake, or whatever.

I don't think that many people take the internet seriously. If they did, there would be far more lulz. Not just the odd gem like this.

some folk are "i act different on the web to in real life"

maybe most folk is an over statement on second thoughts.
