Suicide Note Part 1

hello fellow music lovers, this has the potential to be financial suicide for us Ghosts Of The American Dead, but I've decided that this Punk VS. Metal deally i've been harping on about will have the incredibly generous admission charge of £3.50 for a whole weekend ticket - I can't stoop any lower than that and i doubt there'll be many complaints concerning the price.

The whole "band contribution" thing will be simple - each band gives me the low price of £5 per band - that will bring the band contributions to £85 and we will cover the remaining £290

we will organise the 3000 free full-colour flyers and 100 free full colour posters and deal with the distribution (well, pay others to deal with the distribution)

...i'm going with this low band contribution and low admission because i;m basically wanting to organise an event that we'll all enjoy and not have to worry about the cost of organising - with the low admission charge it'll be much better for attracting people to see bands that they've not heard and branching out and gaining a (kind of) larger fanbase.

I'm gonna speak to Ian at the Cotton Club about drinks promotions for the event also - let's see what kind of deals I can get for Jack Daniels for all us hard rockers!!!

Right dude- i think that's a very fair and good price to pay for the number of bands you get to see! How about £10 from each band? That way you cover your back a wee bit and we've got 5 in our band, so it's only £2 each for us!

that's a very kind offer, i mean it's totally up to you - it would be much appreciated if you would, but i'm not gonna force the extra on the bands because not everyone has the generousity of A Close Last! it's up to you's, cheers anyway!

Aye, we definately will, but i think if you got all the bands to do it, it would make a difference- there's no point in just us doing it
