i don't dance to my own music, more convulse and twitch while my eyes roll back in their sockets. doeboy, stop buying the same tshirts as me. anyway, www.audiostreet.net/gutwrenchfacebuster i didn't make it for you to like it, i made it to make you cry. if you want to put it on a cd, let me know, i've got better quality recordings on cd.

Agreed.

All i have seen is moaning from you.

All Norrie is suggesting is that any good quality tracks that local bands have recorded could be possibly played at cage.

Why is this a problem? i would ask the DJ to listen to the tracks before hand but if he's ok with them why not.

I Don't see why you can't just be constructive with your criticism, instead of being a twat.
u agree i dont do anything for your scene? fuck cares.

yr scene is imagineray and frankly u can all shove it up yr arses.

i was constructive (in places) people like you lot just cause a certain reaction.

calling it the "scene" just sounds so pretentious!
i think this would be a good idea, unless the DJ just played the same songs over and over again, cause that would be shit...

Ok, everyone calm down and stop bitching at each other like a bunch of immature queer banks.

Like I have already said, Dave and myself play unsigned bands at JAG. However, these are usually played when the club is not that busy. The reason for this is because they do clear the dance floor.

We normally listen to the CD first to see what the quality is like and see where we can fit it in with the set-list.

I think your idea is a good one, I would suggest giving copy’s of your compilation to the DJ’s, but don’t expect all the songs to be played each night or at peak times. Especially songs recorded badly.

Also, I think it would be better for the “scene” if more unsigned bands that are not local were played (e.g. not from Tayside) this so the people of Dundee can hear bands that cannot play gigs in Dundee as often as others.

In all fairness, it is the same metal songs week in, week out as it is. But their classic metal songs so noone minds (plus everyone in the place is truly wasted). This would just add a bit of variety. They could even make a comp out of it. One track by one band is played each week, then after a few weeks, all are played, with a vote for the best track in the end. Im not talking about a ticket style vote, just a general pissed cheer from everyone \m/

Happy to play band demo's in first half hour at the club. Not so likely after that.

I'll play demos at any time of the night when I'm dj'ing in the pub as I already have done and still do.

This guys got the right idea anyway. Itd also give people the oppertunity to hear the bands as they are ment to sound, not just the low quality live sound.

In all fairness, you're wrong, I personally try to make sure there is some variety in my Metallica, Maiden, Megadeth, Sabbath, Pantera, Sepultura etc and that the same songs aren't played week in, week out.
