Carbon is here

Hey folks,
Just a quick message to let you know about Carbon and what it is.

It is a new Alt night which will be in the Hideout at Abertay Union every second Saturday.

It will be a a very wide mix of music. It would be easy for us to put rock / indie / 80's / punk / metal etc as everyone else does. We will be playing all that, but we are mostly out to create a great fun atmosphere by mixing in some more eclectic, fun, classic, random music

We won't be playing any extreme brands of metal though, like death metal as there are other nights that cater for that. I suppose you could say this will be more your commercial night.

We won't be taking requests on the night as from experience taking requests and just chucking them on wherever and whenever can create a very disjointed night. What we will be doing is taking requests via our website and creating set lists from these in between each Carbon.

The Hideout at Abertay is an excellent venue with a brand new sound system, superb drinks prices and a safe environment.

We are also running a promotion with the Balcony Bar; On any Saturday that Carbon is running, buy a drink you will get a voucher for reduced entry to Carbon

We fully expect to get the usual complaints from some folk, but all I will say is this, if you come along and Carbon isn't for you, then that's cool.

Sounds like this is going to be more along the lines of say kerosene? If so, I'm there.
