Okay folks, some utter twats have probably ruined there ever being another Carbon. 2 fire extinguishers were sneaked out of the club up to level 3 and set off. An £800 security camera was attacked and the lift has been flood damaged.

To say I am absolutely fuming doesn't really quite cover it.

The police have been brought in by Abertay to investigate this incident. Hopefully something was caught on the Security cameras.

If anyone saw anything or saw people acting suspicious can they PLEASE message me with information. Even the smallest piece of info can help us out.

This really does not look good for Carbon and for us (the DJ's) as we can be held accountable and the damage is into 4 figures

I'd also like to take this moment to apologise on my outburst outside the club last night due to some kids acting like tits and not understanding that Carbon is not a metal night and that I am not there to be their personal DJ. Pushed me just a little too far!

Heys,

I don't understand the mentality of people who seem to think that to have a good time you have to smash stuff up. It gives the whole scene a bad name, and gods' know the scene's image ain't all that great to begin with! I remember all the damage that was being done at Cage!!

I really hope whoever did this gets caught, cos if not its just another black mark against the scene. There are enough venues in Dundee who will actually say they don't want to host a night where people will be 'wearing a lot of black'. And it's exactly cos of this sort of crap!

At the risk of sounding like someones mum, disappointed.

Are we not better than this??

UPDATE.

We now know who all of the culprits are.

Damages inside the building are being paid for but they also wrote all over the sandstone walls and it won't come off. Stupidly they have all signed it and I now know who they are.

The police are onto it.

Just to say, they all have lifetime bans and that Carbon will continue.

If you see anyone looking like, or talking about doing anything at future Carbon's, let us or security know ASAP.

You just cant trust some people. I dont understand why some people feel the need to do stuff like that. I mean the drink is cheap and the music is good and pretty much most the people there know each other so its a shame it has to be spoilt!!

Im glad they were caught and I hope people will take notice from this and nothing else will happen.
