Calling All Bands
In a band? want some more advertising? Corpus 2005 compilation could help you.
here's the deal: Noun: corpus(corpora, corpuses) korpus " a collection of writings " CORPUS 2004 was an album that was put together on a shoe string budget, a non profit making album designed to showcase some of the raw unsigned talent that Lothians have to offer. In total, 300 copies were sold to the general public and at £3 a copy for 19 bands, it was a fair bargain to be had. Most of the cd's were sold at gigs or were bought through word of mouth and every band on the cd recieved a complimentary copy. Any bands that recieved new gigs or contacts through the cd or were able to network in anyway, is a good sign for Nemesis Productions. This was my aim, to give all bands a level playing field, in the hustle and bustle of the music world. So inconclusion to a worthwhile cause, the money recieved from the album, will go towards a live event for all the bands who took part. And all the money recieved from the event, will go towards CORPUS 2005.....and so on. As bands are ever changing and new ones arrive, a yearly injection of talent should keep everyone up to date with the unsigned goings on. It's now open to the unsigned talent of the country and not just limited to the Lothians, Bands wishing to be a part of this need to register on the web site NEMESIS PRODUCTIONS there is more info for you there too. There's nothing to loose and everything to gain. One band from the compilation was signed this year as a direct result of the album, so it's not too bad. |
