I need a hard drive!

My system drive has gone and fookin' died on me!

lost shit loads of work due to not backing up for over 3 weeks!!!

DOH.

Does anyone have a hard drive just lying around doing nothing that they would like to donate to me.

Not fussed about the size of the drive. Anything from 4GB upwards would be supoib.

I'll come pick it up!

ive never had much luck with second hand drives, the raptor i got never worked, and the backup drive i had corrupted just after i formatted my main drive (ie no time to copy everything back!)

Im not sure the size of the old iedes i have lying around (probably less than a gig, maybe a 2) but I have a 10gig scsi and can get more if thats any good to you?

But saints be praised, it looks like its more likely to be a fucked up PSU!!!!

I went out and bought a new bloody hard drive today an all. £80 which i can ill afford to bloomin spend!

I've disconnected a few things in various combinations and it looks like the power cut we had has fucked a few connectors. I'm plugged in through a surge protector aswell!!!

But anywhoo, I am currently backing up my hard drive to DVD in case the drive is a wee bitty buggered too.

Hurrah.

Just PM Me Or My Bro.....We've Gotta Coupla Old Base Units That Are Complete....But Nae Memory In Em.....Pentium 2's Like ....But That Shouldna Make A Difference To The Power Supply....It'll Work In A Newer Machine Tae !...Just Gies A Shout If Ya Wannem !!

i love exploring mates' pc-shite-cupboards.. everyone has one :P

i currently have a 300w psu with P4 connector (any use col?), an ALi PCI card with 4 external and 1 internal USB 2.0 ports, handy for older machines you want to connect usb devices to, i've got an unused official AMD Athlon64 (upto 3400) heatsink and fan, a wee 6gig fujitsu hd that makes crunching sounds but works. and i have cables for just about anything incl. a fan speed controller kit that i got with my zalman cpu fan, but i just use the fan speed controller via uGuru with the mummyboard.
