ampeg cab wanted!
hi,
I have decided to go with everyones advice and buy myself an Ampeg cab to use with my new ashdown EVO II 300W head. Ideally, I am looking to purchase an SVT 410, 610, 810. If any one is looking to sell theirs, please get in touch! Thanks again Steve |

if you have transport and can go pick one up from england you can usually get a 6/8x10 on the cheap from some of the bass forums Basschat.co.uk - the UK bass players' forum, the new home for Bassworld members etc
roughly 400/500 ive seen them go for |

If your looking at 610s and 810s there are other manufacturers and you can get them cheaper.
You'd also want to take into consideration the differences between ported and sealed cabs. |

Ported generally have lower-lows, but arent as smooth. Sealed cabs tend to have a bit more mid punch to them.
Very generally speaking here : Ported = more modern sound Sealed = more vintage sound |

Ampeg cabs sound as good as anyone could possibly need, and are built to be set on fire, thrown downstairs, in vans, on stages, etc.
see also; mesa boogie guitar cabs |
