He doesnt need to be a designer, artist or creative mind to be able to pass opinion on a designer or artist's work.

how many clothing companies sell the majority of their products to consumers who have no design or artistic background? Probably quite alot. Still, if the consumer doesnt like the products, they wont buy them or will tell their pals, "those shirts are crap"and their views are pinacle to wether or not the company has a purpose in regards to selling their product.

You'll note that I didn't suggest that he was unable to pass comment on the work of others, I was just interested in seeing his contributions to the world, whether it be a band, shirts, poetry, art, whatever....

I'm not saying I agree with him, as I really don't care either way, but you don't need to have produced something in order to know that something is shit.
