Nikki the reason sheep don't shrink when it rains is because the wool isn't teased yet. The reason wooly jumpers and other wool related paraphenelia will shrink when exposed to copius amounts of water is because the wool has been tased into yarn which is then knitted into the jumper or whatever. So when it rains on your jumper the wool trys to go back to its previous shape that it was on th sheep befor it was teased and spun. Because it is already in theis form when it is on the sheep, the wool on the sheep will not shrink.....hope this has answered your question
