Your suggestions needed!
Although I've put a lot of effort into getting this section up and running, it's still nowhere near the 'resource' I'm hoping this section can be.
I'll add to the existing sections over time, but that's really the 'downloads' section, as far as 'resources' go, I'm talking about things like an online guitar tuner, printable blank manuscript paper, that kind of thing. I realize that these things are available on other sites, but I want to help make UGS the one-stop site for all you guys' music related needs. So any suggestions for any sort of resource or usefull programs?

Stinger: program to hunt down and kill trojans, very good, what we use in our uni lab alongside mcafee can I suggest that to keep this thread size down and to make it easier to read you delete them once seen and leave: Program "name": added or Program "name": duplicate and then credit the person who suggested in the other threads. under instant messaging dude, trillian is quite a program these days. i used it years ago and it was buggy so i gave it up to just use msn and icq, but i recently installed trillian and it's amazingly stable and better laid out. for anyone that's never heard of trillian, it allows you to access msn, icq, yahoo and aol's instant messaging facilities with one convenient program, it also has irc in it and looks quite sexeh.
really useful for the people with 2 or 3 messengers installed. here's the addy rob ps. i just actually checked the site and it's looking cooler than ever |

also under codecs and video software, here's an utterly amazing codec package which quite literally installs everything, ever under the sun to do with codecs.
divx 5.x, 4.x and 3.x, xvid, ogg, ac3, quicktime alternative, realplayer alternative (both allow the watching of .rm and .mov files etc in your standard player be it media player or what, also no stupid quicktime icons or realplayer jukeboxes loading up every time you start windows. it also has all the standard utilities that the movie lords love, like gspot and antifreeze etc. this pack pretty much runs every form of video under the sun and all in perfect quality, it even comes with about 7 or 8 players including media player classic and my personal favourite, bsplayer. it's the last pack you'll ever use for watching or listening. strangely enough, the site is in russian but the program is in perfect english. ace mega codecs pack v6.01 you have to untick virus scan when you install it or the installation takes an hour and for some strange reason on my pc, my cousin's pc and my sister's pc we got 5 .dll errors on installation but otherwise total success yet my brother's pc installed it perfectly.. hmmm. |

a suggestion was put forward that we should have a resource for listing links to bands online mp3s... like a directory of mp3 links to bands music.
Have a thread where people post links to their mp3 pages on their websites and add these to a locked thread like the others we have, so we get a big list of music alphabetically ordered where people can find links to their favourite bands mp3s.
