But it was really cool when The Jesus and Mary Chain did that. Obviously.

it's hard not to feel that if a more "credible" group had done this, they wouldn't get the flak Lib X are getting. People just like banging on about pop, don't they?

Still pretty poor though. Like my family.

nah..i think they would t be honest. I see your point because everyone loves bringing pop music down in flames but if i went to see cky or iron maiden or something and they only played 4 songs.....i'd be pissed off!

Liberty X had no idea at all that they had been so highly billed and they were well pissed off when they found out as i remember the argument that happened after it.

The promoter was one of the Shy Brothers.

The thing was a shambles from start to finish at the fault of the Venue (Leaving open manhole covers in the car park) to the promoter misleading folks.

Many of the problems were covered up by distraction.

I had the mispleasure of working on the security team that stewarded the event and the problems we were landed with were unbelieveable. Hence why no concert was ever held there again.

Someone should e-mail this to the promoters and see what they have to say in response. I'd be intirgued.

The promoters are currently rather busy with *ahem* a few problems *ahem* and they declined to comment on the matter several times in the past. The list of problems were literally as long as my arm with that night!

Security Guy, cheers for the insight. I didnt know the promoter was one of the Shy Brothers. He should have known better. Sounds like it was a total botch up.

I guess everyone's allowed their balls ups every now and again, unfortunately having a VERY large amount of cash found in the back of your car is not one of them. If that was to happen to someone or a very close associate of someone that could totally be a major pain in the bum!

Pretty shocking that people can get away with this. I bet some kids saves up for ages to go and see Liberty X. I don't reckon its really the bands fault but geez surely they'd WANT to play a decent set? I mean why bother coming up Dundee for your "fans" to only get a quick sample of you. However if they were only contracted for 20mins, they were only contracted for 20mins!

Someone should write to trading standards or some sort of watchdog about this. Might be able to get some sort of refund because its appaulling what happened.
