ok, I'm going to say this because David is too quiet to do it himself, and it's really been getting him down. The tagline for felt is "Soft as f*ck", what does that suggest to you? Please stop requesting things which do not fit in with his vision for the night. It makes him sad that you don't respect his tastes

You can all cheer up Dave by asking him to put on some brit pop. I like it when I request Disco 2000 and he gets all excited, the first time I went to Felt, he even got out the DJ box and DANCED to it.

I do like ATD-i however, and your QOTSA and all that, and generally will NOT play anything I don't personally like because otherwise it wouldn't be in my CD collection.. my saying that was more aimed at requests for stuff like Marilyn Manson and whatnot..

With all due respect, Felt isn't as soft as the name would suggest.. or that original tagline, I suppose by saying "soft as f*ck" I was trying to be funny and like.. not "hard as f*ck", but still.. soft and.. hmmm.. gutsy. I was just playing with words. It wasn't really that funny actually, just like.. juxtaposing softness with swearing. Or something. I'll shut up.

Anyway, it's not a sappy night of crooning and crying and things, but if you want to hear stuff like Marilyn Manson or Tool or other things like that, you would probably feel much more at home at Cage to be quite honest with you.

I guess there isn't any "premise" behind Felt, just music that isn't pop (unless it's like.. over 10 years old ) that you can dance to, or somehow move to I guess..

Anyway, request away freely!

I would say.. it is infinitely soft but maybe like Idlewild/Nirvana/ATD-i is its limit at the other end of the spectrum...
