FELT - new is weird...

Anyone else think felt is weird now that loadsa people go? It used to be dead quiet... i know more people is good but there are lots of people appearing that seem like they think theyre "better" than everyone else ad i dont like it

And why did felt suddenly get really busy anyway? its weird, weird, weird.

felt got really busy because more people were hearing how good it is and said people went along, had a little dance and had a good night so went back - then they told their friends etc... amazing isn't it
people go because felt is just good

this has been argued before but na i prefer it now,its great busy.everyone is really friendly and everyone goes mad on the dance floor its great.felt on thurs was one of the best.
the only bad thing about it being busy is the heat factor,i was sweating like a cheap hooker on thurs.....

but no,i don't agree.

ps.what do u mean they think they are better than everyone else?

Good thing about it being busy is the reading rooms have started to realise they need to stock up the bar far more, thus theres less sans-vodka incidents.

This is why Felt is good.

I myself have only been a few times, but have always enjoyed it. I haven't seen anyone acting like they're better than me. All I've seen is mad dancing, sweaty people, and not much else when the smoke machine goes off (where does it all come from? I think I called it a right pea souper on thurs!).

It has always been pretty busy when I go and I like it. It is one of the few good club nights I've ever been to, and I just widh I could go more often. It feels just like a great house party. I wish it was on on friday's or Saturdays so it would be easier for me to go.

Thursday was my first night there, personally i had wanted to go for a few weeks now but i made the special effort for my man alans b'day!

i had heard it was a kinda closed community to all the old skool felters but i talked to loooooads of people it was ROCKIN!

Maybe (now here's an idea) people have heard by word of mouth, or from this forum about how good it is and gone to check it out for themselves. These things happen when stuff goes more 'public' for lack of a better word. People obviously enjoy themself and come along on a weekly basis and those people will invite their friends along for anight out, as you do. Those friends will bring their friends and so on. You can't stop it happening so there's no point in moaning about it.

I think putting bands on before hand has had quite alot to do with it. Went to see the bands then hung around for a bit afterwards.

Felt's busy-ness coincided with not really all that much, to be honest.

I really think it was just the word-of-mouth factor, and word spreads fairly quickly in a place like Dundee.

There has been less promotion than there was in the early days, and even in the early days there were bands.

I dunno. For the millionth time I will say that enjoy it while it exists, and it being busy helps it exist for another week.
