Igby goes down
I found the story line in this film very interesting, some personalities of igbys were similar to mine. Wanting to break away and find out what life is about for him not for others, apart from the fact igby was very intelligent, i.e some of the vocabulary he used i didn't. I think the writer of the movie was inspired by shakespeare to a certain extent.
Has anyone saw this? This film contains: kieran culkin. Last edited by Feelingspass~Stephen : 8th December 2003 at 11:31 PM. |

The main reason i watched this in the first place was because of the soundtrack. got that before even watching, think ur sposed to do it the other way round, oh well.
The storyline kinda moved uneasily, typical for kieran culkin films (dangerous lives of altar boys, the cider house rules etc.), but igby's "escaping" from military school venture and the idea of his dad (bill pullman) being mentally unstable brought the film together. Claire danes helped with some of the slow moments. |

i watched dumb and dumberer, welcome to collinwood and anger management last nite
dumb and dumberer is pretty decent, some really funny stuff, and eric christian olsen is amazing as jim carrey's charachter. The plot is fucking shite tho. Not a patch on the original. Anger Management is kinda cool, a bit twee and sickly sweet, not typical adam sandler fare, in that the funnies dont come from him, altho jack nicholson is a funny chap. Pretty average tho. Welcome to collinwood ... good plot, good script, good acting... too short and with an unconvincing payoff |

I haven't saw welcome to colinwood, i was contemplating on getting it tonight aswell. (Nothing else to do during the week). |
