Well tonight I went to see Scary movie 3, same old shite, BUT...

Before it started a trailer came up showing a huge deserted Shopping 'Mall' and one guy going round it on a bike, I jus about shat myself, I knew what it was already!!!
The remake of Dawn of the Dead, Ive gotta say I nearly creamed myself, Ive been waiting for this for fucking ages since it was jus a rumor floating round the internet, but fuck its here! The remake of Night of the living dead was so well done I really really canna wait for this, its well gonna be the film of the year for me likes, the trailer was amazing!!!
anyone else like the classic "Dead" films? I hear Day of the Dead is next for the remaking! Or am I jus getting way to excited? actually no Im fucking not!!!

I fucking love zombie flicks. I bought Trilogy of the Dead on DVD and it is class. The making of documentaries are great to watch.

I cannae wait for this remake either

I bought the trilogy of the dead on DVD and it's fantastic.. Night of the Living Dead in that set though, however, is the one with the really shit extra scenes they added in 199x and they really detract from the enjoyment of the film so I bought Night of the Living Dead on a seperate DVD for a few pounds in Virgin the other day so I could enjoy it in its original unadulterated glory. Dawn is fantastic though, I've still not watched Day...

And yeah there was supposed to be a "dusk" of the dead but I think that was another internet rumour,
Another film that looks pretty good is Van Helsing, looks kida like league of extradanery gentleman (which ive still gotta see) except all the baddies are actually baddies http://www.vanhelsing.net

Dawn looks kinda like 28 days later, which i liked!

Yup, Im one of those Saddo's aswell, I gave up on modern horror when just after i went to see 'they' and 'deathwatch' and Ive got to say Ive seen alot of bad films but those 2, my god...
Everybody that worked on them films should been lined up and shot.
Anyway The remake of Night of the living dead was class, but then again that was 1990 i beleive so every single horror film didnt have to have shitty teen models or geeks from teen drama's as "actors", I mean come on, it had the candyman in it, thats horror for ya.
But yeah I bet Dawn of the dead will be like a 12 or something and wont have the totally unnessicery (or however ya spell it) but great over the top gore that the original dawn and day had.
Like i said before it looks more like 28 days later than the classic "dead's". Nevermind still cant wait

Yeah, agree with everything actionalice just said.

I thought the trailer for the new Dawn of the Dead looked crap, EVERYTHING that's good about the original is missing, except the zombies, and it looks like typical glossy hollywood fodder. But i'll still be going to see it anyways, hopes are not high though.

The only real standout US horror movie from the last 5 years, for me, was the Blair Witch Project. There's also been some good Asian stuff (The Eye, Dark Water) and French (Deep in the woods) + Italian (Nonhosonno), but not much to compare with all the cool 70's and 80's flicks.

The new Romero ("Dead #4") movie is called Dead Reckoning, there's quite a bit of info on it on those sites:

[wonder if it will have the same characters, the bit at the end when the black guy is going to top himself,,,but oh no action music comes on and he kicks their ass ,always gets me going.and the gunshop pocket picking always made me jealous, imagine all the sweets u could steal and u could try on fancy clothes and put them back like bernard off bernards watch.The bikers will probably be replaced by neds in micras, would be awesome.

Well Well Well...

Ive got to say that was pretty fucking good!!! Nothing compared to the original but if you forget that its a remake (and you do) Then you realise its a fuckin good film, Special effects piss on any other zombie film made (apart from maybe Day of the dead at the end

thats jus fucked up) and the start scene is orgasmic stuff!!! But yeah I highly recommend it!!!! (A special guest appearance nearly made me shit myself

)
Its jumpy as fuck so watch yer juice!!
