Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
This is one of the greatest films i've ever seen (directed by a python no less) and if you've read the book then you'll understand the unbelieveable difficulty in of putting Hunters gonzo journalism into a visual form. Anyone else like this? Except Grimble?

Fear and loathing is an ace film. Really funny, really well done, really entertaining.
I've been told that apparently the scene when they're on acid is really realistic. (not the bit with the lizards, but the bit when peoples faces are messing up, and the carpet is doing weird things ) |

well considering it was johnny depp i'm sure he would have loads of past experience input to put into the film! Plus he lived with hunter thompson for a week or two to totally get to know him. They even swapped cars! The 'red shark' in the movie is actually hunters, but he gave it to johnny for a while.

i love this film, it is brilliant.
and i agree, it is very well directed and adapted from the book. i read the book after watching it, and the way the film has been done is so totally different from how i would have done it, but only because im not smart enough to think of doing it that way. its ace. |
