Films that make you sad :(
Okay so I was watching 'Philadelphia' for the first time the other night and I caught myself getting a bit emotional at it and that made me wonder, what films make you cry? Or get a wee bitty sad? Or, in the manly guys cases 'get something in their eye'
For me there's a few that I sob my heart out *every* time - Last of the Mohicans being one of them! I can watch that film up until a certain point with no tears being shed then after that it's serious sobbing until the end. Every time I see it. There are more but I can't really remember them, although Edward Scissorhands and the Lion King (when Simbas dad dies) get me as well. |

Although most of it’s pretty funny, the ending of The Man Who Wasn’t There is very sad. The whole situation spirals out of control and I get ‘something in my contact lens’ even though I know exactly what’s coming.
Peggy Sue Got Married makes me all sad as well since it’s so sentimental. When she realises that she's become a teenager again and that her parents and sister are years younger, her grandmother is still alive etc, it pulls on the old heart strings. Waaaa! |

I actually find a lot of films tend to get the old lump in the throat factor for me.
The Green Mile was a good one. Somethings Gotta Give has a great ending, it was more of a feel good emotion than a sad emotion though ![]() Col |
