I just watched this film for the first time a few days ago and thought it was brilliant! It was quite long, but it was a good watch the whole way through. Very clever film. What does everyone else think?

yeah, we've got it on dvd, seen it loads, its an amazing film! Stephen King actually wrote it.

Amazin film - even though it's really long, it was only a short story in the book "Different Seasons", I think. Always get a mini tear in my eye when Brooks dies, and I've seen it about a hundred times

When Brooks got out, and couldnt adapt to real life and killed himself was really sad. I was nearly crying aswell. I liked him!

Aww love that film, not watched it in a while now, now theres somethin to do with my boring day tomorrow!
It one of those films that make you really emotional, like when they escape I start grinnin but then when brook dies i feel really sad! I love films that do that!

Great movie.

Even if you know the part, such as what has already been mentioned, it still gets to you.

I love that film. That bit where Andy Dufresne plays the music over the loudspeaker and everybody stops...it still gives me the shivers

yeah great buy for Â£5 on dvd!!!!

its wierd cos i was thinking (today) about the bit when he was in court and the judge says that its convenient that the gun was never recovered and he replys how it was deffinately unconvenient! wierd that you think of things then ppl post them lol

i love it when ya just see red walking along the beatch then andy just looks up and smiles! awww really good!
