I,Robot
I seen it last and I was mightly impressed. The first decent sci-fi film I've seen in a long time.
Will Smith seems to get better every film he does.He still looks like he walked of the set of 'Ali' though.Big man boobies. I recommend people go and see it. |

I went to see this last night as well. It was a pretty damn good movie, except for a couple of things.
1) It was too long, they could've cut bits out and still told the story as well, except you wouldn't have a sore arse by the end of it. 2) The blatant advertising. Every car in the movie was an Audi, and when he pulls up infront of the old guys house, it's like an audi car advert or something. There are fed-ex robots everywhere. He goes on about his converse all stars at the start for no real reason. Then someone says "hey, nice shoes" and he goes "converse, vintage 2004" It didn't really spoil the movie, except the Audi logo in every scene kept annoying me. and 3) The robot was called Sonny. What a shitty name for a kick ass robot. |

I disagree, it was only just under 2 hours long, which I think is a fair length for a film. Time passes by when you're enjoying a film, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it, so it flew by. Each to their own, I guess. Quote:
Anyway, I kind of expected there to be a lot of Audi references, seeing as they were the major sponsor of the film, apparently. I went to the special preview on Thursday and there were 2 Audi TTs sitting outside, specially for the previews. Flash. Quote:

It wasn't so long that I was getting bored. It's just parts of the movie seemed to move a bit slow. The action scenes were the best done parts. Some of the one liner jokes weren't funny enough, and there were quite a lot. Although the whole cinema laughed out loud when he sneezed and said "I'm sorry, I'm allergic to bullshit". Great line.
The audi logo annoyed me because it was absolutely everywhere. The other ads werent so bad. But sometimes it was like watching a very big budget Audi advert. I would've called the robot Fred. Or Bert. Much better robot names ![]() |

My friend went to see the Thunderbirds film last week and she said that there was tonnes of emphasis on the company Ford. She said all the cars were ford and the logo was everywhere. So that might be something to expect from future films unfortunately
![]() Its annoying cause you already get about half an hour of adverts before the film even starts! |

Yeah, it's a bit shit having to watch half an hour of ads, then more during the movie.
I saw an Audi advert yesterday that was made with clips of audis from I-robot as well. |

Read the books people.
The film is billed as "suggested by Isaac Asimov's book", meaning that it incorporates some elements of the robot stories that appeared in Asimov's 1950 short story collection. The film is shit compared to the books. Isaac Asimov versus Will Smith?? Mr Smith doesn't cut it ![]() Col |
