Dark Tower
Hey, I just finished reading the Dark Tower series of books by Stephen King and thought they were absolutely fantasmical. Just wondering if anyone else has read em and what they thought.

Just finished The Dark Tower, really good stuff. Epic.


Spoiler:
When King first cast himself as a character I was close to giving up on it because for some reason I felt that he had maybe just gone a bit mad and it really wasn't going to work. Turned out to be a good play though, anchored in well.

Favourite books tied between 'Drawing of the Three' and 'Wizard and Glass', both fantastic. All the characters in the Mejis flashbacks are brilliant.

Wasn't really feeling Mordred much though; his role felt pretty tacked on, and it occasionally seemed a bit like King couldn't decide what to do with him after he was born (because the Mia story was good) so hacked in an inconsequential chase and death.



That aside, who'd play Roland in The Dark Tower : The Movies?

have any of you ever read the Dark Tower short story in King's 'Everythings Eventual' book of short stories? I havent actually read any of the Dark Tower books themselves so it might be in one of them but its a great story

i really enjoyed reading the books the whole mia plotline was amazing.
i agree with scott though.. i thought mordred got a bit dull
