Amores perros. Amelie, Taxi, and Brotherhood of the wolf. This film is ace, there's loads of great fight sequences. Amores perros is hard to watch in a cinema when you're realy drunk, and only went in becasue you noticed there was film starting at 1230 am.

I loved Irreversable, great film with the most brutal scene in a movie I have ever seen. seen.
Casshern, beautiful japanese / chinese / asian, whatever, film based on an anime series I think. Kind of like a live action Final Fantasy with CG. Amazing. |

i love mathieu kassovitz's films, like la haine, cafe au lait and crimson rivers
pedro almodovar is good also. kieslowski's three colours: white is sad, funny and wonderful there's an amazing dutch film called zysje (or little sister) that i really love |

just saw irreversable for the first time. been meaning to for ages. some brutal shit. i felt sick at parts.
city of god is one of the best films i`ve ever seen. real good. city of men is the follow up, it`s shot like a series. also good got a lot of the studio ghibli animation series to work through just now. they are all very beautiful. ong bak was on my recent list, superb film, mostly for the martial arts craziness. im getting much more into foriegn films than anything else just now. you always seem to get proper filmmaking rather than just blockbuster glitz and effects. some great stuff. |
